Understanding COMC’s New eBay Auction Options

We are excited to announce promotional rates and auction offerings for the upcoming shopping season on COMC! The goal is to simplify your choices, offer competitive payouts, and give you more control over how you sell. 

Here’s a breakdown of the options now available. 

Submission Options 

Direct-to-Cash Auctions 

  • Where it goes: Listed on eBay within 1-2 weeks 
  • How you’re paid: Cash payout after sale 
  • Fees: Variable payout based on final sale price: 
  • Under $1,000 → 92% – $5.00 
  • Over $1,000 → 95% 

Best for: Sellers who want the most direct path to cash, especially for higher-value cards. 

Direct-to-Auction (Promoted Events) 

  • Where it goes: eBay marquee and promoted events 
  • How you’re paid: Store credit 
  • Fees: 5% transaction fee, $5 minimum 

Best for: Sellers who want exposure in major eBay events, with dedicated marketing behind your cards. 

For Items Already in Your Inventory 

Cash eBay Auctions 

  • Where it goes: Listed on eBay, for items already in your COMC inventory 
  • How you’re paid: Cash payout after sale 
  • Fees: Same structure as Direct-to-Cash (92–95% based on sale price, plus $5 fee if the sale price is below $1,000) 

Best for: Sellers with existing inventory on COMC who want cash payouts. 

Store Credit eBay Auctions 

  • Where it goes: Listed on eBay within 1–2 weeks 
  • How you’re paid: COMC store credit 
  • Fees: 4% transaction fee, $0.99 minimum 

Best for: Collectors who plan to keep buying and selling on COMC. 

eBay Live Auctions 

  • Where it goes: eBay live auction events 
  • How you’re paid: Store credit 
  • Fees: 5% transaction fee, $2 minimum 

Best for: Sellers who want the visibility and excitement of live events. 

What’s Changed 

  • Standard 7-Day and No-Minimum auctions have been retired. 
  • You’ll now choose between Store Credit or Cash auction paths instead. 
  • Fees and payouts are clearer and more competitive (often-times the best payout rates in the hobby). 

Bottom line: Whether you want cash payouts, COMC credit, or marquee exposure, there’s now a clear auction option to match your goals.
