Since 1998, SGC has been a well-established leader in the authentication and grading of trading cards. Their ability to provide accurate and consistent grades in a timely manner is a service that is unique to the card-collecting community and has made SGC one of the pillars of card grading for nearly 30 years.
SGC are well known for their “tuxedo” graded card holders, and those make cards pop well visually! Their black insert creates a sleek contrast that enhances the presentation of the card, making them visually appealing to collectors. SGC has a stellar reputation for grading vintage cards, particularly pre-war and earlier sports cards. Their expertise in this area makes them a top choice for collectors of older, rare cards.
SGC offers a Pop Report for each card graded, so you can see how your card compares against others! They’ve continued to make tremendous progress with data collection and organization, and are working forward to improving it even further for all collectors!
Today’s sophisticated trading card market requires a specific grading scale. SGC uses a scale which eliminates the grades known as “tweeners”: no grading scale is more accurate or consistent. Many industry experts agree that accurate grades mean more accurate prices for your trading cards!
Upon arrival at SGC, all items are authenticated by their team. Cards are then graded using the SGC Grading Scale and encapsulated in SGC’s tamper-evident holder. Grading will start at just $16 per card with a 6 week turnaround!
This service is available for both sports cards and non-sports cards (including TCG’s). Please note: SGC’s standard value-based upcharges will apply for all cards manufactured 2000 and before valued $3,500 and up.
Estimated turnaround times are not guaranteed and are subject to change at any time. Please allow an additional 1-2 weeks for shipping both ways. Timeframes are stated in business days.
Please note that all items located in our Canadian office will require an additional 7 days of processing time for grading services.
