COMC Now Accepting TAG Graded Cards For Consignment!

COMC is thrilled to announce that we now accept all TAG (Technical Authentication & Grading) graded cards! TAG is known for their patented automated grading process, transparent (inscribed) slabs, and unprecedented range of tools to help you understand a card’s grade.

TAG cards receive a standard 1-10 grade prominently listed on the right side of the slab as well as a precise TAG Grade out of 1,000 which is visible on the card’s scannable TAG. The scannable TAG offers a comprehensive Digital Image and Grading (DIG) Report. This showcases the card’s position on the TAG Leaderboard and “digs” deep into its condition, detailing surface defects, centering measurements, corner and edge metrics, card population, chronology, and more. TAG also provides submission kits, high-res photographs of the finished slabs, and returns each slab in a sealed pack for a fun grade reveal. In contrast to our traditional auctions, we will be live streaming your items one-by-one in real-time creating a QUICK and EASY way for you to sell your cards! The first COMC Live Auctions stream will take place on October 20th, 2:00 PM PST on eBay Live.

Get Started with Live Auctions

COMC Live Auctions incur an upfront $0.50 handling fee to list. Once sold, there is a 5% transaction fee (minimum fee $0.50). This is introductory pricing.

Live Auction submissions do not need to be processed as Elite to join. We encourage cards valued at $5.00 dollars or more. Any card is able to be submitted for Live Auctions! Your card doesn’t need to be an Elite item to be sent to live auction. Sellers can submit their card up until the day before the Live Auction.

How to submit a card for eBay Live Auctions:

1. First, navigate to an item in your Inventory Manager that you would like to submit for eBay Live Auctions. Select ‘Send to Auction’.

2. On the Send to Auction page select the eBay Auction Service.

3. Select the eBay Live Auction Option and review the terms and conditions and submit your item!

Grade With Confidence Using The COMC Pre-Grade Service!

Grade with Confidence! The COMC Pre-Grade Review opens the grading door to millions of cards on the COMC Marketplace! We’re excited to help provide further insight and confidence regarding the quality of your cards before sending them off to grading with PSA or CGC.

With our new Pre-Grade Review service, COMC’s expert team will review your cards and assess if we believe their condition to be Mint or better. Cards will be given the white glove treatment by our experienced professionals throughout our comprehensive review system. This affordable service will save you money and bring you peace of mind. Get your cards reviewed with COMC before submitting through our Group Grading services with PSA & CGC! Submit now through your Inventory Manager!

The COMC Pre-Grade Review is $5.00 Per Card and has an estimated 1 week turnaround.

When you submit your card for Pre-Grade Review you will receive one of these assessments:

1. (Passed Pre-Grade Review) – These cards will have been assessed as being in Mint condition or better.

2. Does Not Pass – Cards will be reprocessed as Elite and deposited into your COMC account.

*Our expert team has seen an 86% success rate of the cards we gave a passing grade (receiving either a Gem Mint or Mint from third-party graders).

IMPORTANT: This service is intended only for cards manufactured on or after the year 2000. Cards manufactured before 2000 will not pass review and will be reprocessed back into your account. We cannot offer refunds for any submissions.

  • COMC provides the Pre-Grade Review as a physical condition assessment for raw cards currently in your COMC inventory to give you added peace of mind when determining which cards you want to submit for grading.
  • Cards we are confident are in MINT or better condition will receive the note [Passed Pre-Grade Review] and be locked in your COMC inventory, prepared for submission through any of our PSA and CGC group submission offerings.
  • Cards that do not meet the Pre-Grade Review threshold will be reprocessed as Elite and deposited into your COMC account.
  • COMC is not a grading entity, and the opinion of any third-party grader may differ from our condition assessment and/or standards. No refunds can be given based on the grade your item receives.
  • Once you submit this item for review, your order cannot be cancelled or changed. No refunds will be given after your order is placed.
  • Turnaround times are estimates and are not guaranteed.

eBay Auction Event: 2023 NBA Season Tip-Off!

COMC Auctions is partnering with eBay to promote an exclusive basketball auction event to celebrate the 2023-24 NBA Season Tip-Off!

As part of this exclusive event, COMC Auctions will be featured on eBay’s homepage from October 29th through November 5th. This basketball promotion is the ideal opportunity to increase the visibility of your auction consignments as the 2023 NBA Season Tip-Off begins! Users may submit ANY basketball card to our Auction service regardless of the original submission level! Submitting or reprocessing cards as Elite is NOT required.

Cards submitted to auction via COMC will receive a maximized number of views throughout the auction event. Below you’ll find all the information you need to get started, and, even if you’re new to COMC, there’s still time to register for a free account!

COMC users have multiple options for submitting cards. Whether you already have cards consigned with us to submit to auction, or you are considering sending cards to COMC specifically for this event, details and key dates are listed below.

Mail-In Submissions

Both domestically and internationally shipped cards must be received at COMC’s Redmond, WA location by the end of the day on 10/13/2023 to be included in the promotion. Items sent to our Canada office will not be included in the event.

Items must be received at COMC by 10/13 to be eligible for this event.

To create a new mail-in auction submission, follow these simple steps:

  1. Log in to your COMC account or register for a new COMC account
  2. Click Start New Submission in the Seller Menu on the COMC Dashboard
  3. Select the NBA Tip-Off 2023 eBay Auction Event processing service.

Item Transfers

Items must be transferred to auction by 10/23 to be eligible for this event.

If you already have basketball cards in your COMC Inventory Manager, you can send them to auction in just a few clicks! You must transfer them to auction by the end of the day on 10/23/2023 and select the NBA Tip-Off 2023 eBay Auction Event option when transferring your items to auction.

Users may submit ANY basketball card to our Auction service regardless of the original submission level! Submitting or reprocessing cards as Elite is NOT required.

Click on the Actions button for a given item in your inventory and then select Send to Auction to begin the auction transfer process:

Then select NBA Tip-Off 2023 eBay Auction Event for the eBay auction service.

After transferring your cards to auction, they are moved from your Inventory Manager to the Grading Submissions page in your COMC account. Once one of your auctions is scheduled, you can monitor it via the Auction History page.

Important Auction Reminders

As you consider participating in this exciting auction event, there are a few key reminders we’d like to share:

  • The minimum fee per auction, regardless of the final sale price, is $3.50. We recommend submitting cards to auction that will reach a final sale price of $20 or more.
  • There are no cancellations once we receive your auction submissions.
  • Only basketball cards are eligible for this specific auction event.
