This March and April, we’re bringing tournament season to the hobby with the first-ever COMC Bracket Battles, a month-long competition.
Starting on March 1, the COMC marketplace transforms into a place where champions rise and underdog stories unfold.
Key Dates
The rules are simple, but the competition will be fierce:
- Play-In Period: March 1-14
- Bracket Announcements: March 15
- First Round: March 19
- Second Round: March 21
- Third Round: March 26
- Quarterfinals: March 28
- Semifinals: April 4
- Championship: April 6
Tournament Structure
We’re running four separate brackets:
- Top Combined Purchases & Sales (1-64)
- Top Combined Purchases & Sales (65-128)
- Top Combined Purchases & Sales (129-192)
- Random Draw Bracket
During the Play-In period, participants are ranked based on total qualifying combined purchases and sales. The top 192 members will be seeded into one of the three Top Combined brackets according to their rank.
Everyone else still has a path to compete.
Any member who completes at least one qualifying purchase or sale during the Play-In is eligible for selection into the Random Draw Bracket. Members seeded into any of the Top Combined brackets are not eligible for the Random Draw.
Top performers and Random Draw participants will not compete against each other. Each tier advances within its own bracket.

How to Compete
Step 1: The Play-In (March 1-14)
Your buying and selling activity during this period determines:
- Seeding into the Top Brackets
- Eligibility for Random Draw selection
If you want a seed, this is where it starts.
Step 2: FREE Seller Promotions
From March 1 through April 6, we’re rolling out FREE seller promotions to help you sell more and compete stronger.
Why set them up in advance?
- You’re eligible from Day 1
- You maximize Play-In momentum
- You increase your chances of earning a seed
- You’re prepared when traffic spikes during matchups
Sellers: Don’t wait until March 1, set up your promotions now!
Step 3: Head-to-Head Matchups
Once brackets are revealed on March 15, the real competition begins.
Each round features a one-day, winner-take-all matchup aligned with the tournament schedule.
On your assigned day, you go head-to-head.
Winners advance based on their total qualifying combined sales and purchase value for that matchup day (subject to eligibility rules).
When the day ends, the higher combined total moves on.
Win and advance. Lose and you’re out.
Champions are crowned April 6.
What Counts
- Only sales and outright purchases on COMC.com qualify.
- Accepted offers and counteroffers do NOT count.
- Only selling & buying activity on your matchup day counts.
