The Faces Behind COMC #4 – Getting to Know our Sorting Team

Welcome back to our ongoing series, “The Faces Behind COMC”. In this series, we showcase the personalities of the members of our team responsible for making sure we offer our customer’s the best experience possible when using COMC. In this installment, we’re looking at a team that is built around two of our longest tenured employees who know everything there is to know about the hobby and trading cards. Each and every day, this team observes the tens of thousands of items that pass through COMC’s consignment process, ensuring that buyers have the best possible experience when browsing cards on the COMC Marketplace.

Jade (JVSportscards & Prospect_Watch on COMC)

As the last remaining original COMC Identification Team Member, Jade brings nearly 30 years of card collecting experience to COMC. After Managing the ID Team for 4 years, Jade helped play a pivotal role in the creation of the new COMC Catalog of checklist data that can be found on the site today.  After that project, Jade moved forward to manage the high-end service levels. Jade is very active in the group breaking community, and researches minor league baseball prospects and high end card market activity in his free time. If there is a question about a modern sports card around COMC, Jade is one of the “go to guys” in our company.

Away from COMC, Jade enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports and playing poker. Jade routinely travels to Las Vegas where he puts his luck to good work. Not only is Jade’s luck with monster hits from products well known around the halls of COMC, but his luck at the slot machines is that of legends if you ask his fellow coworkers.  Jade has sold around 1.5 million cards total from his collection, with about 150k of those being sold on COMC.
