Preseason football is in full swing, and the 2026 NFL season is right around the corner. To celebrate, COMC is launching Opening Drive, a week-long event Sept. 7–14 featuring free seller promotions, special eBay Live events, and more ways to put your football cards in front of buyers.

From opening kickoff through Sunday’s full slate and Monday night’s matchup, collectors will be watching for breakout stars, rookie debuts, and key veteran performances. Running a store promotion during Opening Drive can help give your cards more visibility while football interest is high.

COMC Opening Drive

High-End Football Live Event + Football Fridays

Mark your calendar for Friday, Sept. 11. COMC will host a dedicated High-End Football Live Event on our eBay Live channel, featuring premium football cards in front of live bidders.

The event also kicks off Football Fridays, our new weekly eBay Live series featuring football inventory throughout the season.

Key Consignment Deadlines

To give your cards time to be processed and ready for these events, they must arrive at COMC by:

Opening Drive:
Arrive by Monday, Aug. 24

High-End Football Live Event / Football Fridays Launch:
Arrive by Friday, Aug. 28

Important: Cards must be physically received at the COMC facility by the applicable deadline to help ensure timely processing and eligibility.

Get Ready for Opening Drive

• Already have cards at COMC? Review your inventory, update your pricing, and set up a free seller promotion before Sept. 7.
• Have more cards to sell? Create an Elite Consignment or Direct to Live submission and ship early. Cards should arrive by Aug. 24 for Opening Drive or Aug. 28 for the Sept. 11 High-End Football Live Event.
• Whether your cards are already at COMC or on their way, now is the time to get your inventory ready for kickoff.
