We are making a BOLD prediction, COMC Nation! We’re drawing a line in the sand and proclaiming the Vegas Golden Knights as our pick to win the Stanley Cup in the 2017-18 NHL Playoffs! We can’t help but to show our support for the 1st year expansion team. We’re thrilled for the excitement that team has generated both with their rapidly growing Nevada-area local fan base, and worldwide among hockey enthusiasts. Their unlikely rise to convincingly win the Pacific Division of the Western Conference is one of the best sports stories of the year – and now we’re hoping that story continues and doesn’t end until it’s cemented in history.

Why are we so proudly behind the Vegas Golden Knights? Their success in the rink and growing support only acts as proof that there is growing demand for hockey not only across the United States, but around the globe. It’s finally here, Happy Thanksgiving!  Amazing deals and free shipping await!  The hunt begins. To add to the fun, we are teaming with a few of our favorite websites to offer a contest.

Pre-Black Friday Scavenger Hunt & Stress Test

The first 50 different people that complete the following tasks between 6PM and 7PM Pacific time today will receive a $20 Black Friday weekend shopping spree. Additionally, we will randomly give away another 20 more shopping sprees ranging from $20 to $100 based on the entries listed below. We will be giving out a total of $2,000 of shopping sprees.

Warning: This is intentionally a stress test. We are doing this before Black Friday to measure what load our servers can handle. We do expect that you will experience some errors. Try as much as you can over the course of the hour.

Notes
The new Ultimate Card # Race is a simplified version of our previous Card # challenges.  It only requires that you enter the numeric portion of the card number.  You should be able to get some amazing times.

New Social Media and the COMC Hockey Pool

Greetings to the COMC Nation! We’re pleased to announce the arrival of our new COMC International Facebook page, as well as our presence on Twitter as COMC International.

We’ve introduced these new venues as a means for our friends outside the United States to communicate with us, so we can address any issues that arise and to help them meet their needs as international customers of COMC.

Everybody into the pool!

We’re pleased to announce a contest for all our hockey loving friends. We’ve set up a hockey box pool for the upcoming 2013-14 NHL Season.  We’ll be offering prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place – the prizes will be determined on the number of participants in the pool, overall. The more players we have, the bigger the prizes we’ll give out.

Entry is really easy:

First: Score the COMC Social Media Hat Trick, by liking our COMC Facebook page, our new COMC International Facebook Page, and following our new COMC International Twitter page.

Next: Go to COMC Hockey Pool to register your team. Be sure to use your COMC username as your team name for easier identification.

Then: Set your lineup and you’re good to go!

Along with the grand prizes at the end of the season, we’ll be giving out monthly prizes of COMC History points, based on the pool standings at the beginning of every month. COMC All-Star MVP Contest Player Assignments!

Hello everyone, Moe here. We’ve just closed the doors on entries for our 1st All-Star MVP contest. We want to thank everyone who joined us on Twitter and tweeted the winning phrase for everyone to see.

We’ve compiled our list of entries, as well as a list of the players participating in the All-Star game tonight, and through the use of abject randomization, we’ve matched each player to a twitter handle.

Now, you may notice that we have more MLB players than COMC Nation members – we noticed that, too. And, some of the starters didn’t even make the list, that’s just how random things got.
