COMC at the 52nd Sportcard & Memorabilia Expo

We are proud to announce our attendance at the 52nd Sportcard & Memorabilia Expo on November 11th (12pm to 9pm), 12th (10pm to 6pm), & 13th (10pm to 5pm) in Mississauga, Ontario.

Visit us in at Booth #501a (same location as the Spring Expo, 2016) where we will be happy to answer your questions . There will be free giveaways for everyone who stops by – one per person per day – as well as store credit draws and more gifts for all registered COMC users – while supplies last.

We will also be accepting drop-off submissions so you can save on the cost of shipping. Please read the requirements below…

  1. a) If possible, use the Mississauga, ON – Sportscard & Memorabilia Expo drop off location on step 5 of the Submission Wizard to expedite processing.
  2. b) Ensure your submission is packed securely.
  3. c) There is a 5000 count batch limit.  Additional batches are accepted but will be processed at the conclusion of the previous batch.
  4. c) Ensure your account is funded to pay for processing.  Submissions received with insufficient funds will be placed on hold with no due date until the account is in good standing.  This will allow our staff to prioritize processing during this busy season.

Labor Day 9/5/16 – Limited Customer Service Support

Hello COMC Nation! Labor Day is next Monday (September 5th, 2016) and after a whirlwind summer of new feature implementations, expansive growth and excitement for both buyers and sellers, we’re sure you’re all looking forward to a long weekend.

While we will not be set up to take phone calls on Monday in honor of Labor Day, we will have limited customer service support by email. We will return to the office on Tuesday at which point our customer service team will be fully staffed and ready to help!

We’re just 2 weeks away from the biggest event in cards: the 37th Annual National Sports Collectors Convention in Atlantic City! The National is our favorite time of year to experience what’s happening in the hobby, meet face to face with our loyal customers, and spread the good news about COMC. This time around, we’ll be set up in the corporate area at booth #1432, directly across from Leaf Trading Cards.

eBay
Some of our more seasoned consignors may have noticed we’re not offering a processing special this year. Due to our recent eBay integration, our growing team has been working incredibly hard to fulfill orders and keep happy customers. To do this, we need to keep our energies focused on quickly depositing submissions and shipping orders. We hope you’ve noticed the increased sales, which are up over 70% across our inventory!

Consignment Drop Off
As we do every year, COMC reps will be there to take a load off your back. Consignors can drop their submissions off at our booth to save you the expense of shipping your submissions back to Redmond. Just bring your cards by with the paperwork and you’re all set. If you forget your submission form or find some cards at the show you want to submit, no problem! We’ll also have computers, a printer, and free 300ct boxes at our booth.

Time with Tim
Our CEO, Tim Getsch, is once again at our booth and available to meet with you. If you’d like to sit down with him for 30 minutes, email us at timewithtim@comc.com to schedule a time slot. Please include in your email the dates and times that will work best for you and any topics you wish to discuss.

While Tim will be available to meet outside of scheduled Time with Tim, if you do plan on scheduling a meeting, please submit your request no later than Thursday, July 28th.

COMC Shipping Update

At the beginning of this year, USPS implemented a shipping rate increase across all of their major services. After analyzing our shipping rates, which we haven’t touched in the last 4 years, we made some adjustments that will allow us to provide faster shipping times. We are also officially announcing some new shipping services to help our Canadian customers. Additionally, we will now provide estimated delivery dates for each shipping service based on your location to help you choose the best option for your orders.

Domestic Orders

Starting today, Domestic flat rate shipping costs $3.99 using our Economy service. For faster delivery, you can purchase USPS Priority shipping for $9.99. Economy and Priority shipments take an average of three business days to package and ship. Please note that orders that exceed 50 cards may take up to one week to package and ship. If you’d like your Economy or Priority order to ship in one day, you can select Economy Rushed or Priority Rushed for $0.25 per additional card. USPS Express, our fastest shipping service, is shipped the same day if your order is placed by 10:00 AM PST. The cost of USPS Express is $29.99 for your first item plus $0.50 per additional item.

Orders to Canada

In Canada, you can now avoid the hassle of dealing with customs by shipping through Canada Post. Because we regularly drive shipments across the border, we now charge duties when you place your shipment request, alleviating you of any surprise fees while eliminating the provincial tax and Canadian Border Service Agency handling fees. If you placed orders with us over the past six months, you may have received your shipment via Canada Post with duties paid. We will not retroactively charge duties for past orders but we will collect it on all future shipments placed through Canada Post.

Canada Post orders placed before 11:59 PM PST each Tuesday are either shipped from our Canadian office later the same week (for rush service) or the following week (for non-rushed service). Economy flat rate shipping, using Canada Post Lettermail, costs $4.99. For larger orders and those that exceed $50 in value, we recommend upgrading to Regular Parcel, which provides you with a tracking number so you’ll always know where your package is. To use our fastest Canada Post option, select Xpresspost. USPS Priority Express International is also available to Canadian customers for $51.99 for your first item and $0.50 per additional item.

Please note: All Canada Post options factor in the CAD/USD exchange rate and may fluctuate based on the current value of each currency.

Other International Orders

For our international customers outside of Canada, Economy flat rate orders cost $4.99. Tracked and expedited services are also available using USPS Priority and Express. We are also working on some more budget-friendly tracked options for our international customers, so stay tuned to the COMC Blog for more updates.

Please remember that the Spring Cleaning Special free shipping option is ONLY available to COMC Members who purchase using COMC Store Credit, and does not include cards purchased in the advanced reseller mode. To place your shipment request, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your COMC account. If you do not have one, sign up for a free account.
  2. Purchase store credit for your account.
  3. Purchase items with store credit, either with the Buy Now option or by adding items to your cart.
  4. Request a shipment of the cards from your inventory manager using our “Special” option.
