2017-18 Upper Deck Series 1 Hockey ePack Box Break!

Last week we were treated to the release of 2017-18 Upper Deck Series One Hockey on the ePack platform! Upper Deck’s flagship hockey set is a perennial favorite best known for it’s Young Guns rookie card inserts.

What better way to celebrate the release of this set than to feature it In our ongoing COMC Breaks series. In this video, we bust a full box of 24 packs in search of coveted Young Guns rookie cards of Brock BoeserNico Hischier and Charlie McAvoy among others.

  1. As you requested I will critique your performance pronouncing the names. I was appalled to hear you mispronounce nearly every name that you said. Before future hockey breaks I think that you should listen to or watch some hockey games to familiarize yourselves with pronunciations. Either that or get someone who knows hockey to do the hockey breaks.
    I appreciated the break, thank you for your work.

    • Absolutely fair feedback for the most part! I do actually know and enjoy hockey, a lot! However, it is true that living in the pacific northwest and not having a local NHL team has the equally awful side effect of not getting to see many live games on TV.

      • You can stream local radio broadcasts with the NHL app, which has the added benefits of local commercials 🙂

      • I understand mispronouncing names that you don’t hear very often. I appreciate the effort that you made and your frankness in admitting that you were mispronouncing as you did the break. I just get annoyed when I hear names that I know well get mispronounced.
