Happy Holidays, Enjoy what matters most

15 years ago Julia and I first met.  At the time, I was living in the basement at my parents’ house while going to grad school at the University of Minnesota.  Parts of my room were literally filled from floor to ceiling with sports cards, computers, and text books.

Now we work together in a building filled with 10 million sports cards, 100+ computers, and even those old text books.  This week, that education really paid off, and I was able to invent some new technology that uses my math and computer science degrees to analyze images of sports cards.  We have been literally burning the midnight oil to prepare for a major announcement coming out in the next week.

In the meantime, please enjoy the things that matter most in life, and have a very happy holidays!

  1. I love that Winona Ryder flip. I think I have the same picture, only in California and with different people. The only thing missing is the plastic red cup with a drink poured into it.

  2. Been there done that…with the cards that is. Best of luck to you and Julia in the coming year and I look forward to COMC selling all my cards, comics, magazines, trading and gaming cards and memorabilia that I’ve been accumulating for the past 35 years. My seven grandchildren need “stuff'”…..haha. I’ve got a few thousand LPs, in perfect shape, I would like to move – food for thought!

  3. I’m thinking it’s gonna be either an auction format or the long rumored COMC iPhone/Android app, Merry Christmas and thanks for keeping the hobby alive and kicking!

  4. Very cool, congrats on another successful year professionally and personally! Merry Christmas COMC!

  5. Merry Christmas Tim and Julie and to all the company that have joined you in the pursuit of collecting/buying and selling happiness. May you and your families have a joyous holiday season. Keep up the great work and as usual we are always looking forward to you guys and gals exceeding our expectations in improving COMC technology. Cheers to all from Jerry & Family at AZPleasantville. 🙂 🙂 😉

  6. Merry Christmas Tim, Julia, and all of the hardworking staff. Thank you guys for another fun year of collecting, buying, selling, and flipping. I think the post hit it on the head, cards and work are fun and a lot of people get too wrapped up in both, but what matters most is family and happiness. An old proverb or saying I’ve heard somewhere says, ” Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift that’s why it is called the present”

  7. Any chance you guys can build a Beckett style “organize” that actually works for entering personal collections and facilitating trades? I would love to give you guys the $80 each year for that service instead of Beckett. Keep up the good work and the great customer service!
