New Social Media and the COMC Hockey Pool

Greetings to the COMC Nation! We’re pleased to announce the arrival of our new COMC International Facebook page, as well as our presence on Twitter as COMC International.

We’ve introduced these new venues as a means for our friends outside the United States to communicate with us, so we can address any issues that arise and to help them meet their needs as international customers of COMC.

Everybody into the pool!

We’re pleased to announce a contest for all our hockey loving friends. We’ve set up a hockey box pool for the upcoming 2013-14 NHL Season.  We’ll be offering prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place – the prizes will be determined on the number of participants in the pool, overall. The more players we have, the bigger the prizes we’ll give out.

Entry is really easy:

First: Score the COMC Social Media Hat Trick, by liking our COMC Facebook page, our new COMC International Facebook Page, and following our new COMC International Twitter page.

Next: Go to COMC Hockey Pool to register your team. Be sure to use your COMC username as your team name for easier identification.

It’s a beauty!

Then: Set your lineup and you’re good to go!

Along with the grand prizes at the end of the season, we’ll be giving out monthly prizes of COMC History points, based on the pool standings at the beginning of every month. We’ll also give a random team a prize of COMC history points, just for participating. So, there’ll be plenty of opportunities to win!

Be sure to sign up as soon as possible, as the season starts on October 1st and the deadline to enter and make any changes to your team is October 6th, 7pm PDT.

Good luck to everyone who signs up. Game on!

And, as always, be sure to keep up with all the news and company updates by following us on our blog, Twitter, Facebook, and Youtube pages.

COMC Hot List: September 18 – October 2

Hello COMC Nation! Where does the time go? It feels like yesterday when it was summer, when the sun was shining and everyone was talking baseball. Now, with fall right around the corner, football is on everyone’s minds, as the days get shorter and the nights get just a little cooler.

While the nation seems to shift its focus to Sundays, the intrepid crew at COMC is still keeping their eyes on all the various sports and figuring out the players and sets that are going to be “Hot List” worthy over the next 2 weeks. After a little negotiation and some back & forth between our team members, we seem to have come to some agreement. So, please check out the Hot List for September 18th to October 2nd:

Byron Buxton

The Hot List Theme

With the NFL Season underway, we thought that if it ain’t broke, we don’t need to fix it. So, we’re going to keep 2013 football RC’s as the Hot List theme again – meaning any NFL player whose Rookie Card is part of a 2013 football set is eligible for the current Hot List.

So what does being on the Hot List mean?

COMC wants to encourage our users to get these hot cards into your accounts to offer for sale as quickly as possible, so starting today, any cards submitted for the Hot List will qualify for our “Hot List Special” processing. With this service, you will receive One Day processing at the special Hot List price: $0.50 per raw card and $1.00 per graded, encased, or jumbo card.

  • Redemption cards may qualify for Hot List pricing, but will take up to a week to process.

You’re welcome to submit Hot List batches at the same time that you submit other batches with different service levels, even if they’re mailed in the same package, but please make sure that each batch is clearly separated and labeled, and that “Hot List Special” is written on the outside of the mailing package and/or mailing label.

COMC Hot List: September 4th – September 18th

Hello COMC Nation! Here we are, once again – it’s the end of summer. Labor Day is behind us, school is starting up, and most importantly, one of the best times of the sports year is upon us. The COMC Crew is pretty excited, I can tell you – we just completed our draft for our fantasy football league and we’re ready for the games to begin. But, while we’re waiting for kickoff, we thought we’d pull together a little Hot List, so you can do some card sorting while watching the games. Please check out the Hot List for September 4th to September 18th:

The Hot List Theme

With the NFL Season ready to start, we decided that we’re going to add 2013 football RC’s to the Hot List: any NFL player whose Rookie Card is part of a 2013 football set is eligible for the current Hot List. (Yes, we know we did this on the last list, but it worked so we’re doing it again.)
