10 X the traffic = some site hiccups

Let’s start with the good news: we are getting TEN TIMES our normal traffic today!

This means we have the necessary traffic to reach our goal of increasing sales by 10 times (as part of the previously announced “Perfect 10 Black Friday Special”).

As for the not so good news, as you may have noticed, there have been some site issues today.  Please know that we are working very hard to resolve them all and expect to be fully up to speed very soon!

    • Even if I knew that pages such as /Manage/Sales.aspx would be down for an extended period that would be fine, because I could run other errands in the meantime. Can we get a timetable on that?

  1. Last couple hours were frustrating, perhaps consider extending the .10 promotion into tomorrow.
    Lots of sales must have been lost.
    I couldn’t buy or sell for quite awhile there.

    • Same here, I had a hard time buying all day and hope it didn’t impact my sales, which I’m sue it did

  2. I have spent a good part of the day trying to place my rather large order and Customer Service was little help simply telling me to “Just keep trying.” Who releases a beta site on the busiest shopping day of the year???

    Meanwhile I’m worried I’m losing the cards I have saved in my cart, one of which was a vintage Bobby Hull I had my eye on (or I might’ve scrapped the whole order). The other thing is, it appeared that some sellers had marked up their cards to compensate for the free shipping offered today, which just seems shady.

    All around not a good shopping experience today. Who cares if your traffic has increased 10X if you can’t place an order!? Merry freakin’ Christmas!
