Record Setting Pace

Two weeks ago we had two new employees join our team. These employees and the rest of our team have been doing an absolutely amazing job. There had previously only been one week where we processed 20,000 cards.

Last week we processed 20,182 cards to break our previous record of 20,041 cards.
This week technically isn’t over yet, but we have already processed 23,606 cards this week.

That is an amazing pace. I took a glace at the top sellers and noticed that very soon my LowPriceCards account won’t bee the only account with a six digit book value. The growth we have seen over the past year is pretty stunning.

Bulk Shipping Special

Many buyers and sellers have requested a cheaper option when having hundreds of cards packaged and shipped to them. We have been listening, and we are glad to announce that for the last week of May we are offering a Bulk Shipping Special.

This option takes an extra week or two to package, but it typically provides about a 30-50% savings on shipping.

With this 1-week special your packaging & shipping fees can approach $0.10/card.

Single day record broken

I have no clue what was so significant about yesterday, but we did manage to break our single day record for revenue. No specials, no promotions, just a normal Thursday, but yesterday beat out the day after Thanksgiving which had our huge flat shipping special.

Hopefully this is a positive sign regarding the economy, but I am sure it is way to early to tell. In any case, it is really nice to see this the same week we had a couple new employees join our team.

Seattle area show on Saturday

Steve Hollander will be at the Meridian Park School Show this weekend representing Check Out My Cards. You are welcome to drop off cards that you would like to have added to your account.

The show will run from 10AM to 4PM on Saturday May 15th.

The Washington Sate Sports Collectors Association’s summer convention is also coming soon. It will be May 30th & 31st at the Meridian Park School.

Impressed by IE 8

I just installed Internet Explorer 8 on my Windows XP laptop. From playing with COMC.com for even just a few minutes I have noticed that the website is noticably faster.

Not sure if this makes a difference, but I turned off the compatibility mode option. Check Out My Cards appears to work fine without compatibility mode enabled, but other sites might have issues with this.

I just had to give a quick plug for IE 8. Every impressed with the significantly improved performance.
